Reading a book on the early days of phone networks and regulation and happen to switch to a random 1947 National Geographic I have with a Bell Telephone network advertisement for a Boston to New York microwave network.

I was trying to describe a Bowie Knife to the wife on Friday from a TV show and I couldn't remember Jim's name and I called it a "David Bowie Knife" -- now I have been thinking of what a David Bowie Knife would have been like all weekend!
