@kin I really enjoy this side effect of moving: reflection on why we do what we do

@almad Thank you. Glad you enjoy. I am enjoying being here and reflecting on all of this. Finding renewal!

@kin hi! I found you, I read the post, and I relate. It’s an interesting time all over again.

@marendeepwell Hello!! Welcome. Glad we could find each other here. It is a good time for renewal.

@kin well that’s all kind of awesome. I had a brush with OEB pasts this week, so thinking of you guys ❤️

@kin Twitter may have been an accelerant but hardly the cause of your success- your blog writing, code contributions, word of mouth, and what I appreciate most is your generosity in assisting others counts more than numbers of followers. I’m finding fediverse not depending as much on the followers or not, I am getting posts from you and many many more from boosts, I get much without having to follow and sift so much. Also, more dog pix please!

@cogdog @kin Everyone has something to say and everyone wants to be heard, maybe even really listened to. Isn't that part of why we shout into the void? In the hopes that someone will hear and then listen?

@lblanken @cogdog I feel you are correct. Sometimes it feels a tad self-centered and wonder why I do it. However I learn so much in the process, deep down I know it is healthy. Just the day to day gets to me.

@lblanken @kin Hence the importance of genuine (not self boosting) responses, both public and private.

And hi Laura! One of the many folks I have known so long I cannot trace the origin point, way before bird space.

@cogdog @kin Indeed, one of the things I'm loving about shifting to Mastodon is reconnecting with people from the old days, a core of people who believe in the power of the open web to democratize information and highlight connection.

These connections go back a really long time!

@cogdog Awwe thanks Alan. Means a lot. It is a fascinating universe to explore and I am looking forward to rebuilding and telling stories here.

@kin And if you ever care to share a memorable story, I've been collecting them since 2009 at stories.cogdogblog.com/
