Over the years I’ve known a great many others in the geek/nerd tribe who self-identify as gamers. It always puzzles me. I’m perfectly happy to spend long hours in front of a screen reading or writing or coding. But games? I simply lack that gene.

@kin Yes! It recently occurred to me that working through data+API challenges is my version of doing crossword puzzles or word games. Which I also avoid. Wordle was a rare exception for me, but only for a while, then I got bored. I never get bored with data+APIs.
